An Ode to PCH: A Playlist

Uncategorized January 3, 2020

The Pacific Coast Highway is an iconic California landmark, spanning all the way from Dana Point to Mendocino County. I have vivid memories of driving on the PCH to and from school as a kid, and at that point, it had lost much of its charm. The monotony of seeing the shoreline twice or more everyday on the school bus soon rendered the PCH as something dull and uninspiring to me. However, now that I live on the east coast, the PCH has become a comforting symbol of home and nostalgia, and it seems bizarre to me that I ever found it so dull.

Anyway, here are some songs that remind me of the things that come to mind when thinking about the PCH: nostalgia, home, sunny days, and warm sand.
